Individual counselling is a great way to get targeted support for the issues that are troubling you. In our sessions, you can vent what’s on your mind, explore deeper issues, gain a more robust understanding of yourself and build a toolbox of skills to use outside of sessions. My counselling approach is very conversational and eclectic, blending a number of different therapeutic approaches.
Some common reasons that people come to see me for counselling include:
- Feeling stressed or burned out and needing support.
- Experiencing anxiety that’s getting in the way of your goals, disrupting sleep and reducing your wellbeing
- Relationship issues (including non-traditional relationships such as non-monogamy and polyamory)
- Grappling with a difficult decision and needing support to find the right choice.
- Grief and loss, such as the death of someone close to you, the end of a relationship or a big life transition.
- LGBTQIA+ issues
- A desire to change patterns of behaviour that are causing pain and distress.
- Wanting to learn more compassion for the self and improve self-esteem
