Workshops

I am available to teach one of my workshops to your workplace or community group. I have a range of workshops available, and I am also open to teaching you about another topic within my areas of expertise.

The Science of Stress Management

I can teach you what stress is, how it impacts your functioning and wellbeing and why it’s so important to manage it. This workshop focuses on practical, empirically-backed steps that you can take to manage stress in your day-to-day life.

Participants said that they left this session feeling:

  • “Calmer”
  • “Informed, and empowered to make some changes”
  • “Like I’m on the right track”

Online Dating 101

Dating online can be a bit of a minefield, but I can share some pearls of wisdom as a relationship counsellor, polyamorous person and online dating enthusiast. We’ll chat about:

  • Practical considerations like setting up your profile and choosing pictures
  • Maintaining safety both online and in-person
  • Building self-esteem and self-worth
  • Dealing with rejection
  • Setting personal boundaries

Difficult Conversations and how to Navigate Them

I presented this workshop at the Pride in Schools Conference in 2024 to help empower the young people in attendance to have difficult conversations around gender and sexuality. The focus of this workshop is to help people to approach difficult conversations constructively. We talked about:

  • How to prepare for challenging conversations
  • Managing strong emotions during conflict
  • Myth-busting expectations and beliefs
  • How to self-care after a difficult conversation

Prices for workshops vary based on the number of participants. Please email me at fairywrencounselling@gmail.com for a quote and to ask any questions you may have.

Grief Counselling – Group debrief sessions

These sessions are designed to support groups who have experienced a collective loss. They are an opportunity to gather together to discuss emotions around the loss, share memories about a person who has died and to help people to feel less isolated in their grief.

These sessions can be conducted online or in-person (depending on your location). Prices for group debriefing sessions are dependent on group size and location. Please contact me at fairywrencounselling@gmail.com to make an inquiry.
